Part of our Group Piano lessons includes Listening to a variety of music. This opens students ears to many different things. We ask questions so students get good at identifying what it is about the music (tempo, pitch, arrangement, instrumentation etc ) that make it sound the way it does. What makes the listener feel a certain way when they listen?
The music we play relates to the theme of the workbook we’re working on.
Our group doing the Space workbook were treated to this exquisite acapella (one student offered that word herself) interpretation or Moon River by Jacob Collier.
