About Group Piano Classes

| PreNotes | Carefully sequenced program introduces key pre-piano/music skills. Exploratory piano, movement, rhythm, letters + numbers, fine motor skills, listening, singing + pitch. | Preschoolers | 3-4 year olds |
| Little Keynotes | Games, singing, colouring and other props introduce students to the notes of the piano, 5-finger C position and basic rhythms. Each week students learn a new note. | Beginners, approx up to one year | 4-6 year olds |
| Storytellers –Pre-Readers or –Readers | Keyboard geography, finger numbers, rhythms, and musical elements through playing themed songs. We offer pre-reader and reader (music notation) classes depending on age/prior knowledge. | – Pre-Readers; Beginners – Readers; Some note reading knowledge needed | 6-9 year olds |
| Keynotes Play | This transitional program consolidates note reading, introduces more formal music theory and prepares students for next level. Landmark notes and directional reading. | Students with some level of note reading and technical ability | 8-11 year olds |
| Foundations | Themed books illustrate how music represents mood, feeling and character. We use musical elements to compare different songs version. Includes solo pieces as well as ensemble and duets. | Students with more consistent note reading and technical ability | 9-11 year old |
| Progressions | Follows on from Foundations, with more challenging pieces, and requires a higher level of music reading skill. Theory includes the Circle of fifths, chord inversion, Alberti bass and Secondary chords | Students continuing to develop note reading and technical ability | 10-13 year old |
| Tween Beginners / Adult Beginners | Every song has multiple difficulty levels so that everyone in the class can participate. About Group Guitar Classes

| Shredstars/ Teen | This program consolidates note reading, introduces regularly used chord progressions, 12 bar blues and improvisation. | Students with some level of note reading and technical ability | 9 year olds to adults |
