About the grant

Spark Women in Business looked at the stats and realised that only a tiny percentage of Venture Capital goes to women-founded businesses.*

So they’re “putting our money where our mouth is” and awarding 2 grants worth a total of $15,000 to two female-founded businesses in the SPARK community.

  • $5,000 – awarded by a panel of judges.
  • $10,000 – awarded to the winner of the public vote. (This is where you come in!)

The purpose of SPARK is to help women in business grow their profit & impact. They do this by creating the resources, insights and community for women to shortcut their path to success.

How will we use the grant?

  • Marketing of our own music classes – the more students we have, the more classes we’ll add, which means more choices of times to suit your schedule
  • Further development of our in-house created Group Guitar program, as well as marketing it to other studios around the world
  • Marketing to include Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, photography and videography
  • Developing of an in-schools show-team program bringing educational, immersive and entertaining live music performances into schools
  • Staff development
