Terms and Conditions

Below is what we provide and what we need from you to ensure the best possible experience for your location and its children.

What we provide for you:

  • Our music program delivered onsite at your centre
  • Quality music teachers, curriculum, instruments and equipment.
  • Posters and flyers for you to promote the program to children and their families.
  • Payment options;
    • Fees are paid directly by children’s families to Sharon Davis Music via our online bookings. We take care of all administration OR
    • Your centre pays Sharon Davis Music a flat fee for providing classes
  • Opportunities for children to progress into further higher level music programs at our Camberwell location.
  • All our staff hold Working with Children and Police Check certificates.

Additional services include leading workshops and children’s performances at Celebration Days at your centre, for example Mothers/Fathers day. Contact us to arrange these.

What we require from you:

  • Commitment to help music classes happen each week for a minimum of eight weeks of each term, to maximise child learning and viability of the program.
  • Communication to parents each term (digital or paper) highlighting music class opportunities available to children. We will provide these to you.
  • Provide a place for Music Class posters and flyers to be available to parents.
  • Communication regarding timetable clashes, child free days, etc. by the start of each term. We will make contact to request these as needed.
  • In the unlikely event that we are unable to provide a substitute teacher if required, we ask for your commitment to help reschedule.
  • A suitable space to teach classes (with access to power and wifi if required).
  • If required, a secure location to store equipment between classes.
  • Minimum of 8 classes per term.

Other important information:

  • Our fees are as low as possible to make these fantastic opportunities as accessible as possible for all children.
  • We charge all centres/children the same price, but centres may subsidise classes if they choose.
  • We reserve the right to increase fees at a fair rate year to year to cover the program’s growing costs. We keep any increases to a minimum and will communicate this in advance.
  • Refunds or reschedules are not available for last-minute cancellations. To ensure the program’s ongoing viability, we need at least two weeks’ notice for cancellations. Where possible, we will seek to reschedule instead.
  • Sharon Davis Music reserves the right to change/amend this agreement at any time. Any changes will be passed on to centres as soon as is appropriate for their approval.

We always commit to providing and improving our musical opportunities to all our children. These are some of the additional things you might not see happening behind the scenes:

  • We give out certificates to children as they pass milestones in their musical development.
  • We provide professional development to our staff to ensure continuous improvement.
  • We actively liaise with you about how we can support your musical initiatives, for example centre event performances.
  • We run musical holiday programs in Camberwell which children can attend.
